About this cigar: A formidable commander, Winston Churchill brought his imposing personality to bear on the many forces and resources over which he governed. He was a colossus of a character in every sense of the word. Nothing reflects this facet of the man better than the Toro format. Carrying the largest ring gauge in the Winston Churchill range, it is a grand cigar, from the first spicy, leathery, woody notes through the creamy, sweet influences of the Mexican binder to the final triumphant mix of flavours, courtesy of the Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from Esteli and Condegas. This is a cigar which follows in the Great Man’s footsteps and commands your attention.
About this cigar: Dominicana is the essence of Dominican. The combination of native tobaccos is as rich as the life on the island. The carefully selected Dominican filler tobaccos in combination with the Ecuadorian binder and Dominican wrapper are pleasing with notes of oak wood, leather and a deep creaminess. About this cigar: The Davidoff Escurio Gran Toro Cigar is an exceptionally entertaining cigar is a journey into new stimulations and sensations. Each Escurio cigar mixes the Cubra leaves the fire of the Cuban Criollo refined and the dark Brazilian Mata Fina leaf pulsating at the heart of this original blend of tobaccos. Dominican filler tobaccos and a Habano Seed Ecuadorian wrapper add a beautiful balance to this unique cigar. From the beginning, the blend intrigues when spice meets sweet as chilli pepper plays with softer, creamy notes. This is soon complemented in the second third by flavours of oak, liquorice, fruit, salt and leather. Lastly coffee and chilli chocolate flavours arrive culminating in a finale of charming complexity. The cigar is constantly changing in flavours and triggers a new taste experience with twists and turns.
About this cigar: Sir Winston Churchill was not a man to follow convention. When most people were thinking of their beds, Sir Winston found inspiration and creativity in the long dark hours of the night. The dark was where he found his spark.
Davidoff celebrates this facet of the Great Man with a special cigar – The Late Hour.
“Winston Churchill - The Late Hour” contains tobacco aged for six months in finest Scotch single malt whisky casks, a feat no one has attempted before.
The tobacco absorbs the aromas of the cask and whisky, which suffuses the cigar with a unique complexity, depth and the headiest of flavours, creating a unique stimulation of the palate.
To reflect the darkness during which Sir Winston was his most creative, Davidoff has selected a shiny and oily Ecuador wrapper in a beautiful dark chocolate colour.
“Every man has his day and some days last longer than others” – Sir Winston Spencer Churchill

About this cigar: The Diplomáticos No. 2 is a classic Cuban torpedo that sometimes flies under the radar compared to it’s more-well known siblings like the Montecristo No. 2 and H. Upmann No. 2. The Diplomáticos brand has been around since 1966 and is currently classified by Habanos S.A. as one of their “other” brands, as opposed to their “global” and “value” and “volume” brands, and has a fairly small market share. Diplomáticos are rolled with tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region.
The original sizes in 1966 included the No. 1 through No. 5 with two additional sizes being added in 1976. The No. 2 is the only current regular production size left. Diplomáticos originally came in Semi Boite Nature (SBN) boxes with Standard dress boxes being introduced in 1975. It was originally supposed to be a more affordable version of the popular Montecristo brand, mainly targeting the French market, but eventually caught it’s own popularity.

In 1986 Bernard Hine (the late Cellar Master and Honorary Chairman of Hine) and Nicholas Freeman (the late Chairman of Hunters & Frankau) met for the first time. It was the beginning of a friendship that would eventually lead to the creation of the Hine Cigar Reserve XO Cognac ten years later, in 1996.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Cigar Reserve XO Cognac and the friendship of its two creators, Hine and Hunters & Frankau have released a limited bottling exclusively available in the UK.
Eric Forget, Hine’s legendary Cellar Master combined the classic Hine Cigar Reserve XO Cognac (50%) with the exceptional 1986 Grande Champagne vintage cognac (50%) to create a Cognac of outstanding quality that remains true to the original blend.
The 1986 vintage was selected partly in recognition of the year the two men first met, but also due to the delicate yet complex cognac with a bouquet of fine tobacco, oak, sweet spices and white peach that it produced.
Just 250 bottles of this celebratory cognac have been made, each one hand bottled in Hine House, Jarnac. Each one has also been individually numbered by hand.

About this humidor: The first Series 1790 collection is an elegant humidor, containing very rare and special cigars taken from H&F’s reserve of Habanos UK Regional Editions dating from the first in 2005 up to and including the 2017 release. In total there have been seventeen different UK Regional Editions from eight different brands. Collection Number One contains ten cigars of each, and so houses one hundred and seventy cigars in total. The cigars are housed within a bespoke humidor commissioned from Italian humidor makers, DeART S.r.l. Massimo de Munari, whose family owns the company, has built an exceptional worldwide reputation for the quality of his work. He said ‘The challenge was to create a humidor to contain all of these rare cigars, in all of their different shapes and sizes, without compromising the need to store them in perfect conditions.’ Only thirty pieces have been made with each one being individually numbered, and signed by Jemma Freeman, Managing Director of Hunters & Frankau. Each humidor also contains a humidification system to ensure that the cigars are kept in the ideal conditions.
Only 30 Humidors made
Contains 170 cigars
The Series 1790 is the jewel in the crown of Hunters & Frankau’s House Reserve and consists of themed collections curated from some of the rarest and most sought-after Havana cigars.
The second Hunters & Frankau House Reserve Series 1790 Humidor is available exclusively in the UK and in extremely limited quantity.
Just fifty numbered pieces have been commissioned from Italian humidor makers, DeART S.r.l.
Each one contains sixty-one Ramon Allones cigars, made in Havana under the authority of Habanos S.A. and every Ramon Allones Limited Edition and UK Regional Edition is included.
This provides seven different cigars spanning a period of sixteen years. There are ten cigars of each size, with the exception of a single Belicoso, the first ever UK Regional Edition to be released in 2005.
They are classified as special productions either due to the ageing of the tobacco used in their manufacturing or because they have been produced exclusively for the UK market.
The cigars carry a foot band to identify each one individually as part of Hunters & Frankau House Reserve Series 1790 Collection humidor.
The inspiration for this second collection is our long-standing shared history with the Ramon Allones brand. A relationship dating back to at least 1911, when John Hunter Morris and Elkan ltd (an antecedent for H&F) purchased the brand and all worldwide rights.
For the first time we are also presenting the as yet unreleased Ramon Allones Private Stock 230, a cigar created especially for Hunters & Frankau’s 230th Anniversary in 2020.

Hunters & Frankau House Reserve
Every year since the end of the last century, we have put aside a few boxes of particularly noteworthy Havana cigars. Some succumbed to market demands, but others have remained in our warehouse where they have been allowed to age in perfect conditions of temperature and humidity. Today they comprise an exceptional collection known as Hunters & Frankau’s House Reserve.
Starting in 2019, small quantities of these precious cigars have been released for sale in Britain. They are presented either in their original boxes under the banner of Aged & Rare, or in specially commissioned humidors or boxes as part of the House Reserve Series 1790.
All share two aspects of provenance: first, they were made totally by hand in Cuba under the auspices of Habanos S.A. and second, they have been released from Hunters & Frankau’s House Reserve where they have resided ever since they first arrived in Britain.
